Located in Beira Baixa, in the municipality of Castelo Branco, the 60-hectare Monte da Fonte Santa de São Luís is surrounded by holm oaks, cork oaks, eucalyptus trees and a variety of birds.

In 1929, the Beato family bought the land and built the main house. They lived off their agricultural labour. That's how it was for many years.

Later, the local population came to the hill to enjoy the thermal waters to cure skin and bone diseases.

Between 2011 and 2013, the hill passed to another generation and work began on restoring the existing infrastructure to create rural tourism. Little by little, the main house and the hayloft were rebuilt, and the following activities were developed: the premiere of the theatre play "Os Ratinhos" directed by Luís, educational farms for schools, summer holidays and birthday parties for children, and Xícara de chá for senior citizens guided by Anabela.

Over the years, we've enriched our knowledge of tourism with various experiences: we've been to Asturias to learn things, we've continued to do training with Turismo de Portugal, among others. In 2014 we opened a rural tourism centre.

This year we're celebrating 10 years and we want to tell you that it's been very rewarding to welcome you. Welcome to all those who have visited us and those who will come.
